The Shasta Builders Exchange was formed in 1955 to represent the interests of the construction industry in the North State. In the past 60 years, the Exchange has grown beyond a trade association and into a collective of professional businesses, focused on promoting construction by improving the political, economic, and social environment in Shasta County and beyond.
Membership in the Shasta Builders Exchange not only provides access to our state-of-the-art regional online planroom, weekly bulletin, discounts on insurance, training, fuel and access to preferred vendors, it also supports our three pillars approach to building better communities.

Political Advocacy
No matter where you are on the political spectrum, politics impacts our economy. The role of SBE is to work closely with city, county, and state officials to promote progressive growth in the North State. Our goal is to make navigating the permit process simple and easy to understand. We want to be your voice in the political arena. This is an ongoing effort that needs constant support. Your membership helps to fund this endeavor.
Trade Training
We want to create a trade-ready workforce for your business. Your ability to succeed depends on the availability of qualified staff. The Trade School offers training in a variety of trades to create career opportunities for our youth and growth for your business. Our students learn from teachers who have made a career in their respective trade. Your membership allows us to continue to expand and improve our curriculum at The Trade School.
Social Responsibility
SBE has a history of community support. The Exchange has played an integral role in improving the quality of life of the people in our community. As a trade association, we have a responsibility to help those who cannot help themselves. We offer a hand up, never a hand out. That is why we support local charities like One Safe Place and Make-A-Wish. Your membership adds sustainable value to our community efforts.
